Jeremy Wolff at Large
The artist I have chosen to use for the Art World Installation is Jeremy Wolff, a friend of mine, and a student here at Towson with a major in Art. I find Jeremy’s work to be very unique and interesting. I have seen various modes of art in his name (including photos, paintings, and structured designs) and have been impressed in the past. Because his work is all in his home, I have no online sources, or otherwise, to show you. However, I have asked him if he is willing to share his work and knowledge for my assignment and he has agreed. Jeremy has also told me that he should have more than enough produced work to fill the requirements.
When this assignment was first explained to us, I immediately thought my friend would be a good candidate. Initially I was unsure if we could use “unofficial” artists, but once I got the go-ahead, I was ready to ask Wolff. From the work I have seen, I really liked what he can do. For instance, I saw a portrait photograph of one of his roommates that was great. My favorite work of his is a contemporary Statue of Liberty. The shape and coloring of the Statue of Liberty painting is phenomenal. I plan on including that in my paper. I would consider Jeremy’s work to be typically contemporary, in the sense that he uses more modern techniques in his work. I look forward to exploring Jeremy’s work in depth.
